[Once the Shade kind of recovers from the shock of getting a Christmas gift which he will pretty much wear all the time from now on, about an hour later a similar little offering appears outside her own door: a small parcel wrapped in black muslin, containing a hand carved garden gnome and a little note that says We call it Christmas.
